9c67ea60b7 Make the LinuxBIOS build output look a lot like the stuff people
are used to from the Linux kernel.

12213f870d This patch drives the idea of a hierarchical structure below $(obj) a bit
further. It is only tested with my Kconfig build dir fixes applied.

Not sure how pretty this is. All the mkdirs increase build time by 0.2s,
so it looks a lot more nasty than it actually is. If wishes, we can create the
whole directory structure below build in the "prepare" target. It's not faster,
but more limited to one place.

The next step could be to spread out *_LIB_OBJ to lib/Makefile. in which case
it is nice that you can just write object.o instead of $(obj)/object.o or
$(obj)/lib/object.o ...

The top level modules (initram, stage0, stage2, ..) are still in $(obj).

So are the northbridge and southbridge object files - These require some more
cleanup anyways, as they're defined in the mainboard Makefile.

b1149de700 spring cleaning. move platform independent console code,
and drop setup_before_car.c.

The third part of the spring cleaning will get a proper patch to the
list at some point.

9485c81699 Rename CONSOLE_SERIAL_TAG to CONSOLE_PREFIX, as "prefix" is a clearer
name and the option is not only valid for the serial console.

Make CONSOLE_PREFIX an EXPERT option, as most people will not usually
change it.

Put the option under a "Cosmetic console options" subheading, as more
such options will probably follow...

446979be46 This set of changes:
- makes sprintf work, in a re-entrant way
- gets rid of a lot of ugly debug stuff (thanks for the Kconfig log
  level stuff guys!)
- boots like a bat out of hell on qemu :-)

The changes are trivial, I am self-acking.

To run this under qemu, I do this:

cp LinuxBIOSv3/build/linuxbios.rom bios.bin ;  qemu -nographic -L .
-kernel linux-2.6.15-bochs/vmlinux -hdc hda -hda hda | tee out 2>&1

here is the output from a run. Note that cpu's still don't have a path
of any kind, and that show_all_devs is not working right. But we're
getting there. I think I'll next try to really boot a linux with a hard
drive, and see how it goes.

cec4aad017 The selection of the default log level is a select-box where you can choose
log level names now, which is a bit more intuitive than a single digit.

Add a "Console support" option which globally enables or disables
support for (any) debug console. This might prove useful when you want
to silence the boot process and/or make your image smaller.

c275218a89 Add a first bit of a framework. Builds the following parts, in
accordance to the newboot document:

* reset vector (16 bytes)
* vpd (240bytes)
* boot block (8k - 256b)
* lar archive (256-8 k)

The boot block is kind of simple, still. It enables pmode, car, and
starts looking for an initram module in the lar archive.

Note: This doesnt do much at the moment,
as gas seems to produce buggy code in init.S.

Take this as a suggestion of how it might work and please provide
patches fixing it and bringing it into shape.
